youth led nonprofit to connect seniors + tech

What we do

As technology begins to play an increasingly large role in our society, senior citizens are being left farther and farther behind. By offering free technology courses, Technior aims to equip the older generation with modern technology skills to enrich their lives.

From learning how to Skype with their long distance loved ones to using apps to track doctor appointments, our seniors are empowered daily.

Teens are today’s fastest technology adapters. Technior mobilizes tech savvy youth to share their expertise with the older generation through volunteerism.

We directly provide mentorship and resources to high schools/student groups to start branches of Technior in their communities. Our youth volunteers organize and teach technology classes for the senior citizens in their area.

“Technior has been a way for me to contribute to society, and I feel that it spreads so much positivity to everyone involved, and beyond.” -Jane T., Technior Branch Coordinator

Today, Technior has been able to engage people in technology education on an international scale with classes taught in 7 different languages. By working with youth, schools, senior centers, non profits, we combine the strengths of different areas to make an impact on the community. Our youth volunteers develop leadership skills and a love for community service, while our senior citizens get a chance to engage in a whole new world of technology. As a result, intergenerational bonds are formed, and communities are strengthened through collaboration.
